BANTERO Privacy Policy

BANTERO does not send content to an AI service until the app explains the sharing and you actively consent. You may instead use local features only, and you can withdraw AI permission later in Settings.
1. Data we process and how we receive it
When you choose an AI feature, BANTERO receives the content you deliberately provide: pasted chat or profile text, or a screenshot you select. That content may include messages, profile text, names, photos, or other information about you or another person. You should redact names, faces, contact details, financial information, addresses, intimate content, and anything you do not have permission to share.
The AI request also includes the app language, selected age bracket, gender selection, dating intent, requested tone, and generation mode. To provide free-use limits, prevent abuse, and verify access, the service processes a random installation identifier, an app-account token, IP-derived security signals, usage counters, and signed App Store transaction evidence. BANTERO never receives your payment-card details.
2. Why we use the data
- To generate the reply, opener, or profile suggestion you request.
- To operate the free-generation quota and Bantero Pro access.
- To prevent fraud, abuse, and excessive automated traffic.
- To diagnose failures and keep the service secure.
We do not sell personal data, use it for third-party advertising, or track you across other companies’ apps and websites.
3. Who receives data
- Bantero API on Vercel: receives the request and securely forwards the selected content and context for generation.
- Google Gemini API: receives the selected content and context to create the requested suggestions. Google may retain limited prompts and responses for abuse monitoring as described in the Gemini API terms.
- Google Firebase: stores pseudonymous quota and security records. It is not used to store screenshots or pasted conversation text.
- Apple: processes subscription purchases and provides signed transaction evidence used to verify Bantero Pro access.
We require service providers to process data only to provide their contracted service and to maintain privacy and security protection equal to or stronger than the commitments in this policy.
4. Storage and retention
BANTERO does not intentionally persist screenshots, pasted conversation text, or generated suggestions on its own servers after the request completes. They are held in memory only long enough to complete the request. Google may keep limited copies under its Gemini API terms for security and abuse monitoring.
Profile preferences and consent choices are stored on your device. Pseudonymous installation, entitlement, quota, and security records are retained while needed to provide the service, enforce the three-generation limit, verify an active subscription, or protect the service. We delete or de-identify those records when they are no longer necessary, after a verified deletion request, or no later than 12 months after the final relevant service or subscription activity, except where a longer period is required for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, or dispute resolution.
5. Your controls and deletion
You may choose “Use local features only” on the consent screen. In Settings, “Withdraw AI permission” immediately prevents future remote AI requests; local pickup lines remain available. “Delete local data” removes locally stored profile choices, consent, local counters, and local identifiers, but does not cancel an App Store subscription.
To request access to or deletion of pseudonymous service records, email niknovak537@gmail.com. Include the subject “Bantero privacy request.” We may ask for limited information needed to locate and verify the record and will respond within 30 days. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your App Store account settings.
6. Security, children, and changes
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and pseudonymous identifiers. No system is perfectly secure, so do not submit sensitive, financial, health, precise-location, or intimate information. BANTERO is intended for adults and is not directed to children.
If this policy materially changes, we will update the date above and present a new consent choice in the app when required.
